Barite

A bunch of white barite plates sticking up on matrix.

Garnet on Mica Schist
7 x 6 cm. Lake Martin, Alexander City, Alaska, USA US2113 $40

Description:
Dodecahedral, reddish, almandine garnets in a silvery mica schist. Nice color combination.

Andradite Garnet

Description:
Glossy, large garnet crystal in matrix.

Sphalerite

A cluster of dark sphalerite with a reddish tinge on a dolomitic, sparkly matrix. Nice piece from a classic, defunct mine.

Azurite "Rose"

Description:
Rich, dark-blue crystals of azurite in a contiguous cluster having a flower-like appearance.

Copper Splatter
11 x 8 cm. Hurley smelter, Hurley, New Mexico, USA US2127 $130

Description:
Brilliant gold-colored copper on a black copper matrix. This looks like gold and fooled numerous experts who I asked to render an opinion at the Denver Show. Unfortunately, an EDX analysis revealed only copper, but it really looks like gold!
