Apatite and Lepidolite on Albite
9 x 8 cm.
Medina,
Minas Gerais,
Brazil
BZ0779  $400
Description:
A hexagonal prism (truncated at the top) about 2.9 cm long and 2.7 cm across with lots of purple lepidolite on beige albite. It sits up beautifully for display and is quite a stunning piece.

Epidote
8.5 x 8 cm.
Capelinha,
Minas Gerais,
Brazil
BZ0781  $250
Description:
A jumble of epidote crystals, lighter green than usual, all with terminations which have a much-lighter green (olive color). An unusually fine epidote with hardly any damage.

Quartz with Adularia and Lepidolite
14 x 9 cm.
Pederneira mine, Sao Jose da Saffira,
Minas Gerais,
Brazil
BZ0782  $300
Description:
A large, glossy, nicely terminated quartz crystal with white adularia sticking up behind. There's a clump of lepidolite at the lower left. Showy.

Lepidolite
13 x 8 cm.
Coronel Murta,
Minas Gerais,
Brazil
BZ0786  $150
Description:
A really dark purple (not too common) batch of lepidolite hexagonal prisms on a nicely contrasting feldspar matrix. This mine produces some of the prettiest lepidolites anywhere in Brazil.

Rhodonite on Feldspar
11 x 8 cm.
Conselheiro Lafaeti,
Minas Gerais,
Brazil
BZ0788  $150
Description:
Bright-red rhodonite on snow-white feldspar - great contrast. In the past I always loaded up on these. This was the only one I saw worth buying; I wish I could clone it.

Spessartine and Diopside on Cleavelandite
11 x 7 cm.
Paraiba mine,
Rio Grande do Norte,
Brazil
BZ0789  $150
Description:
I'd never seen this combination before (only one piece!). Great color and very unusual combo.

Hematite and Uvite on Magnesite
12.5 x 9 cm.
Brumado,
Bahia,
Brazil
BZ0792  $250
Description:
A large, nearly 4 cm, glossy, terminated hematite with a few uvites, all on magnesite. Most of the hematite is spectacular, but one side was broken. There are some small uvites which grew on the hematite.

Herderite and Brazilianite on Feldspar
11 x 8 cm.
Mina Barra de Salinas,
Minas Gerais,
Brazil
BZ0793  $1200
Description:
Lavender-blue terminated herderite crystals (largest 3 x 1.2 cm) with brazilianite (unusual combo) on white, contrasting feldspar. Herderite is rare and very expensive. This piece was one of only a few I saw and was reasonably priced compared to the others.
